Terms & Conditions

All reservations are made with Helen Iddenden-Smith, trading as the establishment the “Inglewood”, and represents a legally binding contract between you and the said establishment. Guests have a legal obligation to register on arrival and by doing so, agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Arrival and Departure

There is no minimum check in time, but if arrival is to be earlier than 1.00pm or later than 6.00pm, please make this known to the proprietor at the time of making the reservation. If guests do arrive earlier than 1.00pm and the rooms are still being serviced, luggage may be left in a locked room following consultation with the proprietor. Check out is by 10.00am on day of departure UK local time. Having vacated the room by 10.00am - and with the prior consent of the proprietor - luggage of those guests who have not arrived by car can be stored for a further couple of hours in a locked room.

  • Failure to check out by 10.00am could incur the payment of an extra nights stay.

Accommodation Rooms

  • Where rooms are booked for single occupancy, dual occupancy is not permitted unless the appropriate upgrade is registered and paid for. Non-paying visitors of guests are not permitted into guest bedrooms. They may, however, with prior notification to the proprietor, wait for paying guests in the Sun Lounge which is located on the ground floor at the front of the premises.
  • Guests personal property is the sole responsibility of the guest.
  • The proprietor reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of guests or representatives, who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by the proprietor. In the event of failure to comply with management requests, the proprietor may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation. Any outstanding amount of the full booking cost must be paid, and if necessary, will be taken from card details given to secure the booking.
  • All damage caused by guests to the Inglewood will be charged for in full. This includes replacement, cleaning or repair of any item(s), as well as the full cost of loss of revenue while rooms are awaiting attention. The total amount payable will be the liability of the person/organisation who made the original booking of the room/rooms and will be charged without prior consent being required to the credit/debit card used to secure the booking. They will also be responsible for collecting payment, if relevant/necessary, from other members of their group.
  • In the case of a block booking of guest rooms, the person who made the booking is responsible for the conduct of his/her group/party and in any event of damage and/or breakages during their stay, this person will be deemed responsible for the full cost. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.

Smoking Policy

Following the introduction of new legislation on 1st July 2007, smoking will not be permitted in ANY interior part of the Inglewood. Smoking is, however, permitted on the front terrace, where the wall-mounted ash bin should be used for the safe disposal of cigarette butts.

  • If any person smokes in the rooms, that person will incur at least the charge of a further nights stay. The amount due will be for the full capacity of that room, as the room will then have to be taken out of commission in order for it to be returned to its previous smoke-free status. The person who made the reservation will be liable for this additional payment, and if necessary, the amount will be charged against the card details given to secure the booking.

Payment

  • Settlement of the bill in full, less any advance deposit payments must be made on arrival.
  • Most major credit and debit cards are accepted. Please note that a 2.00 surcharge is added to all outstanding balances which are paid by card. No surcharge is added to deposits or full amounts paid by card at time of booking.
  • Cheques are not accepted unless a prior arrangement has been made with the proprietor.

Cancellation Policy

  • Deposits are non-refundable on any cancellation.
  • For all bookings a minimum of 7 days notice is required for cancellation or amendment. Failure to meet this timescale, or non-arrival, deems that the full outstanding amount is due. By entering into this contract, you are authorising the proprietor to charge the total outstanding amount to the credit/debit card used to secure the booking without any additional consent being required.

Discrimination

  • It is the policy of the Inglewood not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital status, age, ethnic origin or disability. All guests are expected to adhere to this policy. Any person or persons who offend against this policy will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given on monies paid. Any outstanding balance will be deducted from the credit/debit card used to secure the booking without further consent being requested.

Statutory Requirements

  • The Inglewood is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, licensing, entertainment, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by all guests.

The Licensed Bar

  • The bar does not operate to set times. It is, however, usually open once breakfast service is over, and closes at approximately 11.00pm.

Special Dietary Requirements

  • It is regretted, but the Inglewood is unable to cater to anyone with a serious/life-threatening nut or food allergy. Other dietary needs, such as vegetarian diets, are happily catered for providing this is specified at the time of booking.

Electrical Appliances

  • Guests who bring their own electrical equipment and plug them into the electricity sockets at the Inglewood will be responsible for any damage caused if there is proof that the appliances are faulty and are the cause of any events.

Privacy & Security Policy

  • No personal details or information known about guests will be made available for sale or shared with third parties. The only exception is if there was a legal requirement to do so.
  • Guests e-mail addresses will only be used (if at all) by the proprietor to let the guest know of any new updates either relating to the Inglewood or for Blackpool. If you prefer your personal details not to be used for this, please notify the proprietor by e-mail.
  • Following the departure of guests all financial information pertaining to them (credit/debit card details) are disposed of safely by being shredded in a cross-shredder.
